🌿 Big News from From Womb to Arms Doula Services!
We’re thrilled to announce that From Womb to Arms Doula Services is officially listed on the Louisiana Doula Registry!

This means families across Louisiana can now use their health insurance to help cover doula care — making pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support more accessible than ever.
💕 What This Means for You
Thanks to Louisiana’s new doula coverage law (Act No. 270) — Louisiana Revised Statutes § 22:1059.2 — health insurance plans that include maternity coverage must now also include coverage for doula services (up to $1,500 per pregnancy).
This law went into effect January 1, 2024, and continues to expand access through both private insurance and Medicaid programs. The Louisiana Department of Health has also created a verified Doula Registry to ensure families are working with qualified professionals — and I’m proud to be among them!

Coverage may vary, but here are some Louisiana insurance providers and programs currently recognizing or preparing to reimburse doula services:
